KPPP Help

I have installed my modem successfuly under Mandrake Linux 10.1 but when I try to dial with KPPP keeps dialing and dialing, no matter what connection options I choose. This is what I get in the debug window output

ATDT36690228 <here in the status bar says 'CONNECT EXPECTED' or something like that>
OK <This is where the loop begins>

Now when I use the terminal in the modem tab inside setup everything goes fine. This is the output

CONNECT 46667
Username: My User
Password: My Password

Audit machine>ppp

ppp mode OK

And Voila I`m On line

How can I tell KPPP to do what is done in the terminal so I can get Online just clicking Connect?
