konqueror vs kscd

Is there a way to stop konqueror from interfering with KSCD?

If I am playing a CD (with KSCD) and start konqueror the CD stops
and KSCD loses control. The only way to restart it is to eject the CD, quit
konqueror and restart KSCD.

I am sure it there is a simple fix but a quick search of the interweb reveals very little.
