Running qt apps on GNOME

I'm posting this question here and at the GNOME.GTK forums.

I want to start a project on a qt style plugin that will emulate the installed gtk style, so that qt apps will look native on the GNOME desktop. I am aware of the gtk-qt-engine project that allows gtk apps to look native on the KDE desktop. I wish to do the reverse.

Am I wasting my time? Has anybody already started a project of this nature? I haven't found anything indicating this is the case as yet.

Cheers.
Ian.

I don't know any project that tries that either.

But you should talk to the gtk-qt-engine developers. They should help you best and maybe you could colaborate with them to form a complete solution. Just an idea.
