KDM loses its settings

I have newly installed Mandrake 10 with security level "higher" and i have a problem with KDM losing its settings which show the users and access to shutdown/reboot after some restats. I keep adjusting KDM in the Control center, but i lose the settings anay way. gratfull for some help. I wonder if it has with the security level to do?
