looking for desktop-scrolling thingy

Hi,

I'm looking for some software, i read here some time ago...
It wrappes the desktop.
It is like a round room, and you can scroll left or right, but shows just the normal view. I hope you can understand...^^^It's hard to describe.

I googled some time and searched the forum, but i wouldn't post if i had found anything.

Does anyone know what i'm looking for?
Or the topic, i found it last time?

Thx for your help.

MfG

Do you know if that project is still alive?
The latest news entry is from 2003-09-18
and the author apologizes for not having much time
to work on it... hmmm.

Has anyone here already tried this with KDE's window manager?

Hmmm.
Not what i was lookin' for....
But looks interesting...

In the FAQ:

8. Does it work with KDE 3?

Yes. Use the --kde3 or --ewmh switch to 3ddeskd. GNOME 2 and KDE 3 use the same EWMH standard

So it seems to work.

I was lookin for the project, where the right screen border is connected to the left screen border....
It lets you feel your desktop is round.
AFAIK it was a patch for the kde-package...
