placing wondows in the kicker panel 'zone'
i have my kicker panel placed on the bottom of the screen, taking up 50% of the screen width. I would like to automatically place (by specifying its geometry) a window beside the kicker panel, but I am unable to get the window to place with the specified geometry Is there a way to override this?
i tried using xresources and kstart, but in both cases the window is created in a position other than where I want:
>xosview -xrm "xosview*geometry: 600x25+1280-1"
This places the window at -geometry 600x25+1280-25, above the panel 'zone'.
