KDE problem

I don't know if my problem is a bug, but somehow my KDE panel no longer shows, and if I try to start kpanel, or kicker, I get an error about some SIGSERV thing. I have been using Linux (Redhat 8.) about 2 months now, and absolutely love it. At the present time I have to use GNOME, but would like to get KDE working again. Is there an easy way to re-install KDE without having to worry about all the dependencies, or reinstalling Linux itself?

Thanks. Jeff K

Its very unlikely that it is a problem with the program itself.
More likely some messed configuration.

Create a new user account and try starting KDE there.
If it works the KDE config of your normal user is somehow corrupted.

Maybe its just kickerrc in this case.

If moving kickerrc does not help, move the whole .kde directory (while KDE is not running, of course)
This should make KDE startup with an all-new config
