debian woody+kde 3.2 error

hello there. i did a fresh install of woody, and upgraded the kde to kde3.2.
i did the upgrade by apt-get install.
when i boot, i get the kdm and when i log in i get an error:
could not start kdeinit. check your installation.
that error comes when the kde loads, and hangs there. any idea?

if i uninstall kde and install it again will it sort the error?
