tring to upgrade
Hi all:
I was trying to use apt-get update to upgrade my kde but got E:the list of sources could not be read?
any ideas where i can use apt-get to upgrade kde?
Paul
Haven't had this error message before, but it sounds like /etc/apt/sources.list couldn't be read.
Check that the file is there an has read permissions for root.

thanks for the info got that fixed but still nothing i am thinking the address has been shut down therefore i am going to have to wait (with my hand under my arse)
for debian to come back fully online
The Debian package pool was offline due to the server crack on friday.
It should be online right now, but maybe some mirrors are waiting for synchronisation before opening up as well.
