Cable Internet
I'm not sure this is the right place to post this but...
I just got cable internet, when linux is starting up I can see with DHCP that an IP address is assigned to me but when I try to ping say www.kde.org the ping times out after a while. Any suggestions?
Thanx in advance for your help.

Hi,
perhaps it's only a problem with a missing nameserver entry(DNS). Try [code:1]ping -c3 80.232.38.131[/code:1] It's the IP of kde.org. If it works, you only have to set your DNS Server settings using yast.
