KDE upgrade on suse 8.2

Ok I'm new to linux. I got fed up with Microsoft and make the switch.

I installed Suse 8.0 and want to do a KDE upgrade. I used Konstruct and it went pretty well no errors but. when loging into suse it still uses the old ver of KDE. how do I point the login for suse to use the upgraded ver. The upgrade has a diffrent dir structure than what came with Suse. What file do I edit?
