Hi
Just joined the group here! Hope someone could help me with the problems I've had with MDK 9.1 and KDE 3.1 after I upgraded. The system seems to be working wonderfully at present but Control Center and right click on desktop seem to want some old libs that are not on my hard drive. Would upgrading to KDE 3.1.2 solve this problem? I've looked through the bug reports and can't find anything related to what it is doing. Here is a more detailed account of the problem:
1. In Control Center
File Browsing-File Manager is listed but gives an error related to not having lib_kcm_konq.la (apparently on Kde 3.0 but not on 3.1
LookNFeel-Desktop same scenario missing libkcm_konq.la
Multiple Desktops-on new CC but not on old one
Network-Lan Browsing-missing libkcm-lanbrowser.la
Local Network Browsiing-on new CC but not on old one
NewsTicker-missing libkcm_newsticker.la
Local Network Chat-not on old CC
Socks-missing libkcm_socks.la
Talk Confiuration-Listed on old but not on new
Windows Shares- Listed " " " " " "
Personalization-On old but not on new
Sound-Midi-missing libkcm_midi.la
Alarm Daemon missing alarmdaemonctrl.la
XML RPC Daemon-missing libkcm_kcmlxmirpcd.la
Konqueror Browser-missing libkcm_knoqhtml.la
Netscape Plugiins-missing libkcm_nsplugin.la
2. Also, when I right click on the desktop to Configure Desktop it can't find
libkcm_konq.la which is the same case as above in in LooknFeel when I select Desktop. The new uses Multiple Desktops as a subtitltel instead pf Desktop.
If anyone has has the same problem when you upgraded Mdk 9.0 to 9.1 I would appreciate knowing how you solved this. Other than these two items everything else has worked fine!':roll:'
