Scanner Umax 2200 (USB,SCSI) with AHA2940U scsi card problem

Scanner Umax 2200 (USB,SCSI) with AHA2940U scsi card problem in Suse 9.2 Pro. Connected Umax Astra 2200 (SU) (Scsi,Usb) scanner unit to Adaptec AHA 2940U card with scsi terminator on scanner. During booting the scanner is identified. Suse yast HW scanning sees the scanner. Suse pluhher (HW tool) also sees the scanner but shows two times!!). Now Kooka is able to preview. Scan does not work and freezes. Xsane precapture works. But Scan freezes. After each freeze, I cancel kooka or xsane. After each cancel, if I bringup kooka or xsane, they are not able to see the scanner. Removed the terminator. Same problems . Any idea what is going wrong?
