Konqueror file manager background image

Hi, I'm looking for a way to include background images to Konqueror file manager which automatically changes according to the contents (filetypes) of the folder (Something available in Mac OS X/ Windows XP). Could anyone advice me on this?????

Rgds,

re: Konqueror file manager background image

hi zammi,

I'm not sure how to make a different background for each filetype, but to enable a background image, go to the menubar and select View > Background Image. This will set a chosen background, but it will be consistant throughout the different files/folders opened. Wish I had the exact answer you were looking for, but I mentioned this, in case you didn't know about it.

Hi, as we know, we can give different folder icons to folders according to their contents I guessed there should be a way to give different background images according to the folder contents as well.

I don't think you can do it like XP does where it automatically picks a background for you based on the dominate type of file... Though you could always request that feature (or create it if you know how to program!)

Though I like the 'paper_flieder.png' background image because it makes it easier on the eyes!

As far as I know you can't choose a background image per directory just yet!
