kcontrol->look&feel->icons crash!!!

kcontrol->look&feel->icons crash!!!

i did something which i guess was really stupid and now i'm trying to fix it. using the root account, i deleted all of the icon themes from my kde system in kcontrol. now, not only do i have no icons, but i kcontrol crashes every time i try and access the icons section to reinstall some icons. kcontrol works fine in every other regard, but when i choose icons from the look&feel menu, it crashes. does anyone have any idea how to get my icons back, or how to get kcontrol/look&feel/icons to work again? thanks in advance...

Download a new set of icons say crystalsvg from www.kde-look.org, untar it and copy the icon directory into the global icon directory
for fedora/redhat it is /usr/share/icons and for suse /opt/kde3/share/icons.
