How do you edit the content of the StartMenu in KDE ?
I would like to edit the content of the StartMenu, not its properties. Kcontrol won't help.
How do you change the path of the applications the shortcuts point to ?
How do you change the tree of the StartMenu ?
Is there a folder or a config file for that ?
THX
If your right click on the StartMenu, and then on Menu Editor, you will be able to do change in the start menu. (You can also do StartMenu > SettingsMenu > Menu Editor or execute kmenuedit in a konsole).
Does anyone know how to edit KDE pannel menus by editing the preference / desktop files?
I understand this could potentially mess things up.
Specifically I don't like the "extra" section and want to move all the applications there to thier respective normal locations, and also am likely to customize the menu extensively.
I find that the editor is less than I would hope for for such tasks.
Cheers
