Xinerama and Window maxamize

I'm running a dual monitor setup using KDE 3.1 & Redhat 9. I have my panel setup on Monitor 0, and no panels on Monitor 1. When I maxamize a window on either monitor, the window always leaves room for the taskbar at the bottom of the monitor. That is the expected behavior for windows I have on Monitor 0, however, when I maxamize on Monitor 1, the window should fill the screen because there is no taskbar on monitor 1.

I know I can choose the option "Let windows cover the panel", but I don't want windows on Monitor 0 to cover the panel.

Any suggestions?

This is probably more of a Xwindows issue, but hopefully someone here can shed some light by pointing me in the right direction

I doubt that it is a X-Window problem but I think that it is more a window-manager problem, probaly a case that nobody has thought of.

Please report the bug to KDE Bugs (at least if you cannot find it there.)

Have a nice day!
