Upgrade to 3.1.1
Hello,
I am running KDE 3.08 or whatever it is that comes with red-hat 8 and I tried to upgrade to kde 3.1.1 using apt-get upgrade kde from the bash command line and it seemed to go fine, all the rpm were downloaded and rpm -Uvh was run on them all, but when I logged in again the control center still said 3.08. Did I do somthing wrong? Is this a bug?
Thanks
none
KDE
I was running RH8, and going to go through and do what you describe, but decided to upgrade to RH 9 and I am very glad I did. Every problem or annoyance I had with 8 is gone. Sorry I didn't help with your question, but...

Re: KDE
I compiled KDE 3.1.1 because rpm dependencies not run. Is better.
