Drop-Down Combo Scrolling

Is anyone working on auto scrolling for drop-down combo? Such that the rate of scrolling can be determined by how far above the mouse pointer is above or below the combo box? This is a nifty feature I've seen on MacOS the few times I used it; it would be helpful.

I haven't got 3.1.1 but I'm wondering if there's been any workaround proposed for the dropdown combo boxes auto-closing under Keramik if you click on the bottommost part of it.
