Screen Savers

When I enable the screen saver on my KDE desktop I can test the selected screen saver and it works great but when I apply it say for 5 minutes all the screen does is go blank. Also the same thing happens when I lock the desktop. Any clue as to where to look first??? Thanx Troy

perhaps they are openGL apps, which are able to be previewed, but if you do not have the openGL modules in stalled (from vnidia, for example), they will not work full screen
