Gnome to KDE
Before any says to search for this...I did. Did not see anything helpful.
I have installed Mandrake 9.0. Somehow, perhaps I selected it, I have Gnome as my desktop. I want KDE. KDE is the default for root.
How can I change this.
I am a Linux Newbie so please keep this simple.
I am learning.
If, from your taskbar, you choose Extras>System Tools there is an option for desktop switching tool. That is where I find the tool in RH 8.0, so if it is not there in Mandrake just snoop around for it.
Also, you should have an option at the login screen to choose you desktop enviroment.
cokeonice,
You can also just type 'switchdesk' at the command prompt - this opens up a dialog box to allow you to choose what GUI you want.

Try the Mandrake Control Center.
