Change Splash Screen

How can i change splash screen . I'm currently using RH8.0

I have not done it myself but the [how-to install] link at kde-look.org does something like this:

# Open konqueror
# Create the directory ~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/pics
# Browse to ~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/pics
# Move and uncompress your new splash screen file into the konqueror window

Try that out and tell us how it works for ya.
