Can't show Klaptop in the taskbar !!
I run MDK9.1, with the latest KDE, and I'v checked in the Kde Control Panel the "show batteery level" option... but there is no icon in the task bar...
I've tried to add it manually, with a right click on the task bar, and "add applet", but klaptop is not there....
Hope So will be able to help me !
Thanks
Seb
You need to enable ACPI in kernel.
There is probably a module to load in MDK9.1
modprobe acpi ?
I've the acpi functions in the kernel
I'ved recompiled my kernel, and I've got the acpi function in the kernel... and further options like battery etc. as modules....
The problem remains...
I've identified a problem, i don't know if this could be the source.. but when I try launching the acpid daemon, I've the following error message :
acpid: can't open /proc/acpi/event: No such file or directory
Now acpid works... but its worst with klaptop...
I've recompiled and reinstalled mdk9.1
Now acpid works...
Thats the message that I have in the configuration from kde for the powermanagement...
L'installation ACPI de votre ordinateur existe mais semble partielle.Il est probable que l'ACPI soit activé, mais certaines options ne le seront pas - vous devez activer au moins les options « AC adaptor » et « Control method battery » puis recompiler votre noyau.
But I'm sure that, I've compiled those options in the kernel ! (« AC adaptor » et « Control method battery ») What could be the remaining problem ?? Please help me ! I'm goin' crazy !!!
