xfree 4.3-r1, opengl, and screensaver (Gentoo User)

I just installed xfree 4.3 and all of my opengl screensavers have a flicker to them, especially the 3D objects. However, if I run xscreensaver everything works fine. I have re-compiled kdelibs, qt, kdeartwork, and numerous parts of kde since the update of xfree, but nothing seems to work....

Please help.
