[Kopete] chat-window was frozen for 3-5 minutes

[Kopete] chat-window was frozen for 3-5 minutes

Hi,
at the beginning, thank you for your help!

My Problem: If I open a chat-window under Kopete 0.9, my computer was frozen for 3-5 minutes.

Error-messages under the console/terminal:

kopete: WARNING: [static QString KopeteMessage::decodeString(const
QCString&, const QTextCodec*, bool*)] Unable to decode string using
provided codec(s), taking best guesses!

kspell (kdelibs): ERROR: charsets iso-8859-4 .. iso-8859-15 not
supported yet

Procedure:
I have downloaded, compiled and installed the newest version of Kopete under KDE 3.2. I have tried with the version 0.9 and 0.8.4. Everytime was the same effect and error respectively. I have installed repeatedly the old version from my SuSE 9.1 CD. This version worked very well.

Now, I have installed KDE 3.3 with the newest version of kopete (0.9) and it's the same problem again. I have installed the newest version of kdelibs, but without success.

perhaps you have to disable the spell checker?
