Hi,
I just got a new notebook (ASUS M2400), and installed gentoo on it. It's equipped with wireless possibilities, and after installing the ipw2100 drivers it works like a charm in my home network.
My university provides wireless access too, and of course I'd like to use my notebook there too. However, they use some kind of certificate combined with a username/password combination to indentify the connecting computer. I just read through the instructions for windows and OSX on their website ( http://www.few.vu.nl/itg/?p=network-201&m=1,13 ), but since I'm relatively new to linux, and very new to (wireless) networking, I have no idea what I should do to make it work on linux. I downloaded the certificate, and when I tried to open in KDE let me "import" it. I see it in a list now under "SSL Signers", but I have no idea what to do next.. I know it's not a KDE-specific problem, but I was hoping anybody could give me a little help or at least some hints.
Thanks.
