Kopete CVS build

well the cvs build goes fine but when i run kopete i get this

kopete: error while loading shared libraries: kopete: undefined symbol: _ZN6Kopete2UI6Global13setSysTrayWIdEi
kopete: ERROR: Communication problem with kopete, it probably crashed.[/code:1]

Any ideas :?:

I read that I had to uninstall my current version of Kopete first before I could get the CVS version. My Kopete is from my default KDE install (Fedora 2 Linux) and I can't see any way to remove the app. Can I still download and install the CVS version or do I have to remove the old one first to avoid any conflicts??
