[KOPETE] New message notification
Hi there,
I'm just trying kopete 0.8.2 but I have a problem with new message notification.
When the first message from my friend arrives the kopete's icon in tray changes to bubble (it is trying to blink, but without success), when middle-click on it the chat window opens. It is good.
But when the window is opened and the second message arrives, icon in tray doesn't change. Only sound is playing or dialog window with message (optionaly) appears. This window disappears after few seconds.
Is there any possibility to change this behaviour? I would like to have blinking icon in tray always the message arrives.
Thanks for any help.
Sorry for my bad english.
Regards
Petr
Sorry - at present, once the chat window is open, we don't blink the tray icon any more. We are aware of this feature request already.
You can set up Kopete's notifications to flash the system tray entry of a chatwindow that has got a new message in it, which is nearly as good.

Thanks for your answer.
Yes I know about the blinking tray but it is not as good as blinking icon. So when the feature will be implemented it would be nice if everytime I click on blinking icon (if the chat window is opened or not) the chat window should apper on current desktop. This is I think the bigges disadvantage of blinking tray. If I click on it I move to the desktop with the chat window but I want the chat window moves to me.
This was the behaviour in older SIM but now SIM sucks and has many bugs so I'm looking for another good chat application and I think Kopete is really really good application (thanks for your work) but I miss this feature.

Petr
