kopete icq replay allways empty.

kopete 0.8.0. I can see the messages and the right status. the other end see my status and can see that I sent a message but the message body is allways empty.
kxicq2 shows that my kopete machine is waiting authorization... how to authorize from kopete?.
Basic questions I guess... I was living under a rock anyway, never used ICQ before.
