how to fix mozilla fonts in linux!

the view->zoom option doesn't stick, I have to do it every time, for every window, and everytime I restart mozilla as well.

I'm using redhat 9, with a screen 1024x768.

-I've read many things, one of them suggested to download Bitstream fonts, this is the post:

http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/showthread.php?t=532

I've downloaded the file(s) but don't know how to install it, how to tell KDE you want to use those fonts!

-another option was to add something in the .js config file :

http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=69124&highlight=fonts+linux

but it didn't work either.

what else can i do? I'm using mozilla 1.5

You can go to

Edit->Preferences, then under Appearance, there is a Fonts selection. You can change "Minimum Font Size" until you find that fits your needs. ;)

NOTE: This information, I got from looking through Netscape 7.1. I no longer have Mozilla, (lost it apparently o_O) but I am assuming the Mozilla and Netscape are close enough.

What I did was to set the minimum size in the fonts selection in Mozilla itself.............I'm using Firebird (v0.7), but it should have something similar. I went to Tools -> Options -> Web Features and hit the Fonts & Colors button. In the popup window, there's different setting for the font styles and sizes, as well as the colors (including link colors)....................I set the minimum size to 10 and the normal size to 14 and I also have a screen res of 1024x768...... :)

------------------------
I just opened up Mozilla (v1.4) and went to Edit -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Fonts and found the settings for fonts sizes there. I also set the Monospace size to 11.........and if you have the rpm for the bitstream font. then just install the rpm. It should take care of the installation for you.
How long a minute is depends on which side of the bathroom door you're on.
