KOPETE 0.8.0 install problem.. Red Hat 9 RPM & tar.gz
Well... here's my problem... i tried to install kopete 0.8.0 binary and the source...
When i try to install the rpm file, i get a dependency problem as follows:
error: Failed dependencies:
libcrypto.so.0.9.7 is needed by kopete-0.8.0-1
libssl.so.0.9.7 is needed by kopete-0.8.0-1
When i tried to ./configure the tar.gz file i get this other message at the end of the output:
checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!
Please help? I currently use "gaim 0.75" as my messaging client.. but trying to change it! I would apreciate any help! Thanks! OH... my msn is wicked2019794@hotmail.com or ICQ 347473049. :x
Check if you have XFree86-devel package installed -- 'rpm -q XFree86-devel' If not install it and try to rerun configure
Yes, i have the xfree86devel package
I already have that rpm package installed... problem persists... =(
Tried in 2 different distros (red hat and knoppix)... neither has worked.
I think i´m being pretty stupid about something... good God...
Thanx 4 help so far!
