Kopete donesn't work?

Hello,

Just installed MEPIS and have tried to get Kopete to work, it seems to run fine, but doesn't do anything. I put in my Yahho ID but nothing happens. There is a server, etc. setup but I am not sure what to do next, any help would be appreciated.
