Kopete 8.0 - Suse 9.0 - Yahoo! connection

There either will be or won't be a quick answer for this.

I can get all the services working but Yahoo! When I create a new account, type in the correct user name and password (I've checked, they're correct) I get this message:

"Could not log in to Yahoo service. Please verify that your user name and password are correctly typed."

I've looked for a way to modify the connection and the port, to see if this resolves the issue, but none are apparent.

Any suggestions? (other than using Gaim, I've tried it, it lacks)

Are you using kopete .8 stable or one of the .8betas or .8rc1? All versions of kopete previous to 0.7.5 or 0.8stable are lacking the necessary current login algorithm for Y! since yahoo has been changing their server algorithms so much recently in a failed(and futile) attempt to block third party clients.
