Hi, okay so I've tried out a couple of the linux distros around and am now using KDE botting from a CD on my dektop pc with an intel network card, I've also got a win 2000 pro laptop running, there's a crossover cable running between the two PCs, can anyone point me in the gith direction for getting these two talking / file sharing? Easy in windows but don't know how with linux!
Cheers
Hi,
You first have to install the SAMBA package.
After that you should install KSambaPlugin
http://ksambakdeplugin.sf.net.
Now you can share a folder by opening the properties of
a folder and going to the SAMBA tab.
Greetings,
Jan
