kstart command

Since upgrading to kde 3.1.4, one of the kstart options no longer seems to work. The command "kstart --desktop 3 programX" now always starts in desktop one. Is this a bug? Is there new syntax? I haven't been able to find out.

Hi,

on my system (SuSE 9.0 with KDE 3.1.4) everthich is fine. No new syntax. Did you tried "kstart --destop 3 /path/to/programX"?

This is strange. The commands are in /usr/bin and a path should not be necessary. Before the upgrade, it wasn't necessary. Now, however, using the pathname works, so Thank You.

I.m back. It only works for startx. In a full reboot, all programs directed at specific desktoips open on desktop one. ie. It don't work.
