Ksysguardd applet not working?

I'm trying to use the ksysguardd applet on the KDE 3.1.3 panel to monitor my upload/download speeds.

Usually all I have to do is drag the trasmit/receive sections of the KDE System Guard onto the ksysguardd panels, but now it's giving me a prompt saying:-

Connect Host

localhost

and the options:-

ssh
rsh
Daemon
Custom command

There's also a little lightening bolt on the panel, where the readout should be.

Any ideas?
