surf the internet using a network
can anyone tell me how can u surf the internet using a network connection
what kind of a network do you have? most distrobutions will automatically detect and configure your ethernet card, and more so theres increasing support for wireless devices.
i am having a problem surfing. the network address are there but i am getting a host error when i attempt to browse the net.
What happen if you type 'ping www.google.fr' in a Konsole ?
What type of connection do you use ? (Ethernet, modem, wireless...)

Souds like a DNS problem.
Perhaps you haven't set the DNS servers correctly during install or, if you use DHCP, the DHCP server didn't tell you the correct one.
cheers,
