Keep Dial up Connection after Changing Users

I'm very new to Linux (until 2 weeks ago I thought mounting was something bulls did). I'm running Lycoris. I would like to be able to connect to the internet, check my email etc and then maybe logout so that my wife or daughter can log in and use the same internet connection without having to redial.

Lycoris uses kppp and I find that if I log out and someone else logs in, the internet connection is still there (good) but they cannot access it (bad) as the process belongs to me (I presume).

I'v also noticed that even if I log back in I can't access the connection.

Is there anyway I can keep a functional connection no matter who logs in or out?

Thanks

Try kinternet.

I use kinternet and have no problems switching users. I have the same situation, I will logout so my wife can go check her email, etc. The connection remains open and accessable.
