Kmail 1.7 keeps downloading same messages

Hi, I have just upgraded to KDE 3.3, and therefore Kmail has upgraded to 1.7.1
Everything worked fine except that it downloads the same messages over and over again...

Have I got to change something in kmailrc? After deleting approx 8,000 messages it has got beyond a joke. Can anyone advise me please?

Check that you have the option "Leave fetched messages on the server" unchecked.
It's a property of each of your POP accounts under
"Configure KMail" -> "Accounts" -> Tab "Receiving"

I have disabled 'Leave messages on server' but it does not make any difference.

That's why I asked if there was something wrong in kmailrc.....

Sorry, no idea then. Works for me, BTW. Maybe it's even a distro-specific bug?

do you have a webmail interface to your inbox? That way you could see if kmail really did remove the messages from the server.
