Advanced ksnapshot program available?

Hi, I was curious about whether there was a program available in any packages which would have the ability to take screenshots by taking parameters rather than being gui based. The reason I was a program like this is because I am looking to automate a screenshot taking process using a script, and I want to be able to just open the program and utilize it through commands. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
