I have seen many posts around the Internet about getting Noatun and/or Juk to play MP3 files on Fedora. Invariably, the person who asks the question is told to install xmms and the xmms-mp3 plugin. I have not seen any solid info on how to get it to work with Noatun or Juk.
I have it working on my system, and just wanted to post how I did it in case anybody else is still searching. My way may not be the easiest way or the best way. It might not even be the bare minimum necessary to do it. I just know that it works for me.
1. Use yum to install the following BEFORE you install or updgrade kdemultimedia:
a) xine and it's dependencies
b) taglib
c)libmusicbrainz
d) lame and lame-devel
2. install or update kde multimedia using the yum repository listed here:
http://kde-redhat.sourceforge.net/
I am using the following yum.conf with the kde additions, and have uncommented the alternate repositories. This enables me to fetch taglib, etc.

From my experience, installing the items in #1 after installing kdemultimedia does not work. They need to be there first.
