dcopserver & konsole

I am running a Red hat enterprise server 3. Kde works fine from the console. When I try to connect from a PC using exceed or another unix system and run konsole as an X client I get a pop up message saying

Could not read network connection list
/<home>/DCOPserver_<linux>_<HP>_0
Please check that program "dcopserver" is running.

When I click OK the konsole session starts and runs fine. Is there any way to get rid of this message? I assume that because I am not running the full KDE desktop dcopserver is not started. I have several people that need to connect to this system with a terminal session and konsole looks like a good client to use. Its hard to explain to the "great unwashed" that this message is normal just ignore it.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
