firefox 0.9
When i begin to install firefox 0.9 it writes to me "Couldn't open xpistub library".
Where is the problem, what should i install at first?
i downloaded the tar ball from www.mozilla.org/firefox, and i didn't need to compile anything. It came precompiled. If you have the same package, try running the executable directly.
I had also downloaded from this site.
Can somebody help me on this problem or not?
Does
firefox/libxpistub.so
exist, and do you have proper permissions to open the library? Have you tried running firefox as root?
You could also try fix the problem by removing ~/.mozilla
I have firefox extracted to /opt/firefox. This is simply a copy of the extracted files from the tarball.
Hope it works out
Seb
firefox/libxpistub.so
This file doesn't exist.
Either remove all of firefox that you have on your computer and re-download the package. If you cant or dont want to do this, or it doesnt work, i have uploaded my libxpistub.so, so you can download it from here:
http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~srui239/libxpistub.so
hope this works out,
Seb
