KAddress / Kontact smear address list

I just installed KDE 3.2 on a RH9 system. Everything works great except for Kaddress. When I start the program the address list appears fine. But if I scroll the list up and down or side to side, the text gets "smeared". There seems to be something going on with the graphics. I have tried several other fonts and colors, but with the same result. Shading or min/maximizing the window draws the list correctly, but that is a pain. This is the only application (so far) that I have seen this happen with. Other scrolling lists, like the To Do list work correctly.

This happens in Kontact also, which seems to use the Kaddress program.
