Compiled 3.2 from source, now can't SU in any X11 session

Compiled 3.2 from source, now can't SU in any X11 session

What the subject says.

I compiled and installed from source.

Rebooted, got the KDM screen, entered my password, won't let me in.

Tried as root, denied.

Back to console, log in fine as root or user.

Login as user removed old .kde folder. startx & -> Kde starts up fine.

BUT it won't let me su to install OpenOffice or anything else. Logged out, started fluxbox. Now I can't su in flux :roll:

Back to console, now I can't su in console either. Tried uninstalling 3.2 base, that didn't fix it.

Little help here?
