can't reading the text in kde 3.1

I have searching this forum for the answer to my prorblem with kde 3.1. I running slackware 9.1 kernel 2.4.22 full installation. When I run kde the text appear as little dots or squares that is unreadable. I ran qtconfig and got an Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0:0".

Can someone help me fix this problem
