Public file server

Dear friends,
I'm trying to add Public file server on KDE via applets.
After that I cannot find a configuration window.
Does anybody knows how to find it??

Thank you!

Ilan.

Try right-clicking on the "handle" left of the applet.

Sorry

Hye,
Sorry for being so...
I found the famous triangle and right click it.
I received a window of "configure panel" and "Settings - KDE control module".
Inside I found "Layout", "Appearance", "Taskbar".

I couldn't find an option to configure the applet.

Sorry for my stupid question, but I worked ours to find it.
Maybe too much Microsoft in my head....

Thank you,

Ilan.

Hi,
just click on a free space on kicker. You should see a menu with on point (don't know the english word) named applet or miniprogramm or something similar. Then you will see something like public fileserver. Click on it and you will find a new little symbol in kicker's tray. Right click an choose "New server" (anyway it will be the only item in the menu at this time;) )
Now you will see a dialog where you can choose a folder select a port and define the maximum bandwith.
Now everyone can see the content of your folder if he uses
yourip:port in the browsers url.

Thank you but...

Thank you and sorry again....
I found the triangle and right click on it.
I couldn't find the "New Server"...
Maybe I need to install another modules to KDE?
I just couldn't see nothing to configure or to see.
If you want, I can send you a print screen.

Thank you again!

Ilan.

Hi,
you can see some little screenshots how to ad the fileserver here: http://www.dynamic-cast.de/fileserver

I don't know if it's in a different package then kdebase. I alos installed kdeutils, kdeaddons, kdenetwork. Perhaps it's in one of these.

Modules?

Hye dim,

Thank you very much.
I saw that I have a problem in both my linux boxes.
I couldn't find the "New Server" option.

Where did you downloaded the kdeutils, kdeaddons and kdenetwork?
Maybe they are what I need?

Thank you again,

Ilan.
