Old drag&drop behaviour gone since version 3.1.2
Hello list,
since version 3.1.2 I cannot longer drag & drop files in the old way. As an example I first highlight 5 files in Konquerror (by dragging a rectangle), release the left mouse button. Then I try to drag them onto a directory (for copying) or a desktop icon by clicking on one file and dragging it to the destination. That automatically deletes the selection of all but one files. Only the file under the pointer is taken.
I have seen with the KNOPPIX KDE 3.1.2 CD that this is not the usual behaviour of version 3.1.2 but I have not found any way around it.
I'm working with DEBIAN woody on a x86 machine.
Any help would be fine, I administrate this linux box a lot of people are working on it with VNC server / client software at the same time.
Gerhard
Well, it works fine over here, nothing changed in drag-n-drop in kde 3.1.2

All I can say is that I run Suse 8.1 compiled KDE 3.1.2 /everything and I also do not have any problems. I am sorry I can't be more of a help.

I just had a thought, does it happens for all users or just for a specific user ?

In the meantime I have realized that the above described behaviour is only seen in the "Detailed List View", in "Icon View" all is ok. Can anyone of you who have written that all works well can try it again in the "Detailed List View" please?
Gerhard
Yes, you're right.
Does not work in detailed list view here as well.

Hmm, indeed, it only works using the icon view.
Probably not implemented for other views, like detailed list view.
Please consider a wish bug report.
