Kpart directly (or, Konqueror is so slooow...)

Is there anyway I can open, from the command line, as a user, a KPart directly. Is there another generic container other than Konqueror?

Konqueror is very slow. For instance, when I type ALT-F2 man:xxx, Konqueror chugs a long for several seconds before loading. Whereas, if I click load man page from KDevelop, it instantly brings up the KDE Man page viewer, in its own window.

Is there anyway I can do that on my own, bypassing Konqueror?
