Injured Paul Casey looks set to be back for
next month's WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.
Casey dislocated his shoulder while snowboarding in Colorado, forcing him
to miss out on the start of the new season - including this week's desert duel
in Abu Dhabi, much to his disappointment.
"I've always played Nike - VR Pro
Cavity Irons well in the desert and the Abu
Dhabi HSBC Championship is one of my favourite events of the year, so I
will particularly hate sitting out that one," Casey said a couple of weeks
ago.
"The
good news is that the experts I've seen say I don't need surgery and, having
already started my rehabilitation exercises, I should be back hitting balls
with cheap
clubs
in a few weeks."
More recently, Casey's manager at IMG, Guy Kinnings, reportedly told
Talk Central that Casey's rehabilitation is progressing even faster than
expected.
